21 Jan - OMV starts expansion works at Burghausen cracker in Germany

According to a press release, OMV Group has invested €40 million in its Burghausen cracker in Germany to expand its ethylene and propylene capacity by a total of 50,000 tons/year.

Initial grounding works are already underway and the additional capacity is expected to become online in the third quarter of 2022, the company announced.

The Burghausen cracker is currently able to produce 445,000 tons/year ethylene and 240,000 tons/year propylene.
