21 Dec - LyondellBasell wins contract for SIBUR’s new PP plant in Russia

According to a press release, LyondellBasell Industries has been awarded a technology contract by SIBUR Holding PJSC for its proposed PP unit in the Svobodny, Amur region, Russia.
As per the contract, SIBUR will use the Spheripol technology for its new 400,000 tons/year PP plant under its Amur Gas Chemical Complex project.
The project is planned to compose of a basic polymer production facility with a total capacity of 2.7 million tons per annum including 2.3 million tons/year of PE upon its completion. The complex will also house a 2.3 million tons/year cracker.
