11 Mar – Dow shuts Bohlen cracker in Germany
According to sources familiar with the issue, Dow Chemical’s cracker in Bohlen, Germany was shut due to some technical problems as of early March. Ethylene supplies were set to be affected by the shutdown while it was not specified whether or not the output for other products were disrupted.
No details regarding the duration of the shutdown was disclosed at the time of press, meanwhile.
The Bohlen cracker can produce 610,000 tons/year of ethylene, 310,000 tons/year of propylene and 105,000 tons/year of butadiene.
